And, unlike karaoke, we don’t use canned knockoff accompaniment—we play the best-known recordings, and our guests sing along with the original artists!
We have designed the experience for musical theater fans age 40 and up; but&nbsp;Gotta Sing: BROADWAY is fun for all ages—as long as you love singing show tunes, you’re in!

We’re celebrating the winners of the 47th Young Artists Concerto Competition at the Yonkers Philharmonic Free Concert on May 9, 2026 at 3:00.
First Prize Winner, Ben Puts, from Yonkers will perform the first movement of Lalo’s cello concerto, which reflects Lalo's Spanish-inflected Romanticism — restless, colorful, never predictable. The writing is idiomatic and demanding, showcasing the instrument's full expressive range from deep, resonant lows to singing upper register passages.
Second Prize Winner, Taira Matsumoto from Pleasantville introduces the saxophone as a solo concert instrument with Glazunov’s Concerto for Sax. Cast in a single continuous movement, the opening theme, lyric and aristocratic, displays the alto saxophone's uncanny ability to sing like the human voice.
Third Prize winner, Yuto Lim from Harrison completes the celebration of our Westchester high school students with the 1st
movement from one of the most beloved violin concertos ever written, Mendelssohn's E minor Concerto.
The Yonkers Phil will open the concert with Strauss Fruhlingstimme (Voices of Spring) This sparkling concert waltz distills everything that made Strauss the undisputed King of the Waltz. Tchaikovsky’s stirring March Slav will open the second half of the program.It unfolds from a solemn, folk-tinged opening to a triumphant conclusion incorporating the Russian Imperial anthem.
It will be a wonderful afternoon celebrating three talented Westchester high school students. Come and bring your family and friends.

<a href="https://www.instagram.com/rivertowns4reprorights/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Rivertowns for Reproductive Rights</a>, a community group of Rivertowns residents joyfully organizing for reproductive rights and justice, is pleased to host their 4th annual Appetizers for Access event on Monday, May 11, 2026 at <a href="https://www.bloomydobbs.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Bloomy Cheese &amp; Provisions</a> in Dobbs Ferry, NY.

With a suggested donation of $65 per person, guests of all ages will enjoy an unlimited selection of fine cheeses and snacks, wine (21+), and music to raise funds for the <a href="https://www.nyaaf.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">New York Abortion Access Fund (NYAAF)</a>’s annual Fund-a-thon efforts. The donation page will remain open until May 31, 2026.

All proceeds from Appetizers for Access will be donated directly to the <a href="https://www.nyaaf.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">New York Abortion Access Fund (NYAAF), </a>New York’s only statewide abortion fund. NYAAF provides financial support for anyone living in or traveling to New York facing financial and logistical barriers to accessing abortion care. Since the fall of Roe in 2022, NYAAF has provided $6M+ in direct funding for abortion care and supported 8,561 callers from 40 states and 25 countries.

Rivertowns for Reproductive Rights 'Appetizers for Access' to Benefit NYAAF

The Nyack Famous Street Fair will be returning on Sunday, May 17 from 10 to 5 in downtown Nyack. This is the ultimate shopping and dining event you do not want to miss. The fair features over three hundred exhibitors, from four states with arts, crafts, new retail, home décor, and unique gifts set up in tents lining Main, Broadway and Cedar Streets. For the foodie’s festival foods of all kinds will be available including food trucks. Music will be located at the Gazebo on Main Street. Be sure to stop by the great restaurants and outdoor cafes with many offering fair specials. Nyack’s unique shops and boutiques are a must see. 
The fair is held rain or shine. No pets please. The Nyack Famous Street Fair has been held for over 50 years and has become a much-anticipated event that is looked forward to year after year.
