Chapter leaders say the award reflects the collective efforts of brothers and has significantly boosted morale, marking a proud milestone for Farmingdale's Greek community. 
• Long Island Potato Festival coming to Farmingdale State College this fall (newsday.com) — Farmingdale residents can enjoy the first-ever Long Island Potato Festival at Farmingdale State College on Sept. 26-27, with free admission and general parking. The two-day event will feature potato-themed foods, carnival rides, live music, kids' activities, and a farmers market highlighting Long Island agriculture and local vendors.
