FLUSHING, NY — The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is urging the more than 1 million fans expected to attend the US Open to use mass transit to reach the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

US Open Fan Week begins Sunday, Aug. 23, with Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day and runs through Saturday, Aug. 29. The tournament’s Main Draw is scheduled for Aug. 30 through Sept. 13.

The MTA will provide enhanced 7 train service throughout the tournament, with the Mets-Willets Point station serving as the primary subway stop for the tennis center. Beginning Monday, Aug. 24, additional 7 trains will operate after the final match at Arthur Ashe Stadium, running express from Mets-Willets Point to 74th St.-Broadway before making local stops to 34th St.-Hudson Yards. Extra service will also operate during Mets home games.
