One elderly, disabled woman struggled with the long flight of stairs outside her home. A young Glen Head man didn't hesitate to lend a hand.

March Purcell said he saw the woman's predicament and knew he needed to step up.

"It’s also important to me to help other people because it makes the world a better place when we all help each other," Purcell said, adding that if someone is ever in need of any help, people shouldn't hesitate to assist.
