Worker Rescued From 12-Foot Manhole In East Harlem, FDNY Says
The worker was pulled from the manhole by firefighters and taken to Mount Sinai Morningside, officials said.
EAST HARLEM, NY — A worker was rescued from a 12-foot-deep manhole in East Harlem on Wednesday morning and taken to the hospital, according to the FDNY.
Firefighters responded at about 9:08 a.m. to 2085 Second Ave., between East 106th and East 108th streets, after receiving reports of a worker down inside the manhole.
FDNY crews removed the worker from the manhole before EMS transported the person to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, officials said.

The FDNY did not release the worker's condition, identity or any additional details about what led to the incident.
