About The Candidates:
Incumbent and Glen Cove resident Lavine told Patch he has fought for responsible development, "including transit-oriented development and Smart Growth concepts, and have driven millions of dollars to municipalities and school districts to ease property tax burdens and have fought to reduce New York’s income tax to a historically low level. Have fully supported Governor Hochul’s funding for Downtown Revitalizations."
Lavine added:
"I have consistently fought for State funding to maintain and protect infrastructure. This is a national problem requiring federal funding."
According to Dunleavy's website, Dunleavy served in Supervisor DeSena's administration and worked to "stop Hochul's plan to cram high-rise, urban apartments into our residential neighborhoods."
His website added:
"As your State Assemblyman, Conner will cut taxes for middle-class families, support law enforcement to keep our streets safe, and secure the funding our schools need to give every child a strong start."
Results are unofficial until certified by the Nassau County Board of Elections.
