Man Killed After Being Shoved Down Subway Stairs In NYC

What led up to the incident is not known at this time.

NEW YORK CITY — A man was killed after he was allegedly shoved down the stairs at a subway station entrance in Manhattan, police said.

The 76-year-old man, identified as Ross Falzone, was found at the intersection of West 18 Street and 7th Avenue after responding to a 911 call of an assault around 9:36 p.m. on Thursday.

The man was unconscious and unresponsive with injuries to the head, police said.

He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition where he was later pronounced dead.
