• Man charged after alleged abduction, assault in Somers (halstonmedia.com) — An Ossining resident has been charged after state police say he assaulted and threatened a former partner in a secluded area near the Muscoot Reservoir in Somers. Investigators allege he forced the victim into a vehicle, drove to the woods, restricted their breathing, and made death threats before the victim escaped. He now faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges and is due back in Somers Town Court. 
• 11 Charged In Decade-Long Scheme Allegedly Selling Green Cards Through Fake Marriages To Chinese Nationals (tippinsights.com) — One of the 11 people charged in a large, long-running federal marriage-fraud case is identified as a 43-year-old resident of Ossining, tying this national investigation directly back to the village. Prosecutors say the group arranged hundreds of sham marriages, allegedly collecting up to $100,000 per case to help foreign nationals obtain legal status. The case spans multiple states and years, with serious federal charges and potential prison time.
