• Sea Cliff set to hold second annual triathlon (liherald.com) — Sea Cliff's second annual triathlon will again start and finish at Tappen Beach, with the Town of Oyster Bay helping support operations at the waterfront. Athletes will swim in Hempstead Harbor, bike Sea Cliff's steep hills, and run through village streets, while local families and neighboring communities are encouraged to participate and then visit Sea Cliff businesses afterward.

• Sea Cliff Board of Trustees provides updates on village issues at meeting (liherald.com) — Sea Cliff officials are steering residents toward the Town of Oyster Bay's glass-recycling igloo at Harry Tappen Beach as one of the best options for handling bottles and jars. At the same meeting, trustees scaled back plans for the village green renovation and reported on the Water Authority of North Shore's ongoing effort to acquire the Sea Cliff Water District and seek a rate freeze.
