Mangia Cibo Culinary Lab, a first‑of‑its‑kind, film‑ready kitchen studio, has officially opened in Queens, offering a space where cuisine, creativity, and storytelling come together under one roof. Designed to look and feel like a professional cooking show set, the Lab is not a restaurant, but a private culinary venue available for event rentals, workshops, and content production.

Built to inspire both on and off camera, Mangia Cibo is quickly positioning itself as a go‑to destination for private celebrations, corporate gatherings, chef collaborations, brand activations, and hands‑on cooking experiences.

The Film Menu: Culinary Experiences with a Creative Twist

One of Mangia Cibo’s most unique offerings is its signature “Film Menu,” a restaurant‑inspired lineup of creative and production services developed in collaboration with Sciarratta Public Relations (SPR). Guests, chefs, and brands can choose from à la carte options ranging from short, cinematic social‑media shoots to full‑day productions with lighting, creative direction, and post‑production editing.

The Film Menu includes:

  • In‑house videography (from iPhone cinematic reels to cinema‑camera shoots)
  • Chef collaboration dinners and pop‑ups
  • Hands‑on cooking workshops and meet‑and‑greets
  • Branded content, recipe videos, and social‑media campaigns

Every experience takes place inside the Lab’s film‑ready kitchen, ensuring that events look just as polished online as they feel in person.

Catering with Italian Partners

To complete each experience, Mangia Cibo Culinary Lab offers catering partnerships with two beloved New York Italian institutions:

  • Fortunato Brothers Bakery, the Williamsburg staple known for its authentic Italian pastries and desserts
  • Tutto Calcio Espresso Bar, a downtown Queens/Manhattan café blending Italian coffee culture with community

From espresso service to custom desserts, these partnerships allow hosts to create fully curated events with trusted names in New York’s Italian food scene.

The Team Behind Mangia Cibo Culinary Lab

Mangia Cibo Culinary Lab was founded by three New York tastemakers with deep roots in food, media, and hospitality:

  • Anthony Sciarratta, founder of Sciarratta Public Relations and a media producer specializing in culinary branding
  • Biagio Fortunato, co‑owner of Fortunato Brothers Bakery
  • Joe Pirreca, owner of Tutto Calcio Espresso Bar

Together, they envisioned a collaborative home for chefs, creators, and food lovers — a space where cooking meets culture and every event becomes content worth sharing.

Special Event: Mozzarella Party with Stretch the Mozz

Adding to the Lab’s growing calendar of experiences, Mangia Cibo will host a mozzarella‑making party on Friday, January 30, in collaboration with Stretch the Mozz.

This event will give guests a behind‑the‑scenes look at the art of fresh mozzarella stretching, with live demonstrations, tastings, and plenty of opportunities to get involved. Designed as both an educational and social experience, the mozzarella party highlights exactly what Mangia Cibo does best, bringing people together around food, culture, and craftsmanship.

Attendance is limited, and access is by reservation only.
