Skeletal Remains Found in Debris of July's Deadly Queens, NY, House Fire (firehouse.com) — Investigators have found human skeletal remains in the debris of a Queens home where a July 25 fire killed a 78-year-old woman and injured more than 20 people. The Medical Examiner is working to identify the victim as FDNY and NYPD review missing-person reports and revisit what happened at the multi-alarm blaze near College Point Boulevard.

Queens apartments among smallest in country, despite immense size growth over last decade: Report (qns.com) — If your Queens apartment feels tight, you're not imagining it: new units here average just 732 square feet, among the smallest in a 100-city national study. Queens did see one of the biggest size increases since 2016, but still trails far behind the national average and even slightly behind Manhattan's new apartments.
