1. 13-year-old, 18-year-old injured in Queens double shooting; no arrests (abc7ny.com) — Two teens were shot and wounded Friday night near 108th Street and 39th Avenue in Queens, with both victims taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition. Police say a 13-year-old boy was hit in the arm and an 18-year-old man in the ankle, and they're still searching for suspects while investigating what led to the gunfire.

Remarks As Prepared: Mayor Mamdani Delivers Remarks At Department Of Probation Graduation Ceremony (nyc.gov) — New probation officers were sworn in at Queens Borough Hall, where Mayor Mamdani praised the city's largest graduating class of his administration for their commitment to public service. He highlighted Queens resident Bryan Rivera, a veteran and son of immigrants, as an example of officers who will now serve and represent their own communities across New York City.

5. Teen killed in Brooklyn fire sparked by lithium-ion battery: FDNY (nydailynews.com) — FDNY is warning about lithium-ion battery dangers after an 18-year-old died in a Brooklyn apartment fire and a Queens man previously lost his life escaping an e-bike battery blaze in Jamaica. Officials say battery-related fires are rising this year, especially outdoors, even as overall deaths decline, and they're urging New Yorkers to be more cautious about how and where they charge devices.
