Search On For Burglars In Smash-And-Grab At Enrico's Jewelry Store In Shirley: Authorities

SHIRLEY, NY — Burglars broke into Enrico's Jewelry Store on William Floyd Parkway in Shirley on Saturday night, Suffolk police said.

It happened at around 9:50 p.m., according to a police spokeswoman.

She could not confirm was stolen, but a post to social media featuring security video from the incident stated that a paver was thrown through the window, and about 45 watches that were embossed with Enrico's on the dial were swiped.

Further information was not immediately released.

The video shows two suspects, one of whom hurling an object through the window of the store.

The poster asked residents and businesses in the area of Westwood Drive to check their security cameras.

The burglars"took off on foot and [a K-9 Unit] followed their scent to Westwood Drive," where it is "assumed" they got into a vehicle," the post stated.

"Please run back any ring cameras you can in the area and help find these individuals," the post concluded.
