Congratulations to Ms. Nicole Connelly, Library Media Specialist at Gelinas Middle School, on receiving the Association of Suffolk Supervisors for Educational Technologies (ASSET) Bright Light Award. Ms. Connelly has created a library that is not only an inviting and comfortable space, but also a safe and engaging learning environment where students feel welcomed and supported. She is an educational leader who consistently brings technology and teachers together by collaborating on meaningful project-based learning experiences that enhance instruction and student learning across content areas. Through her work, Ms. Connelly empowers both students and teachers to explore, create, and learn in ways that extend far beyond traditional library use, making her a true Bright Light within her school community.
