Murphy Science Olympiad Takes First Place at Regionals
Murphy Middle School Science Olympiad team captured first place out of 36 teams

The Murphy Middle School Science Olympiad Team earned first place out of 36 teams at the Science Olympiad Regional Competition on Sunday. Since October, the students have dedicated countless hours to preparing for a wide range of rigorous academic and engineering events, including written examinations and build competitions. Their hard work and commitment resulted in an outstanding performance, with the team bringing home more than 25 medals!
Murphy students achieved first-place finishes in Entomology, Helicopter, Heredity, Hovercraft, Potions and Poisons, and Remote Sensing. Beyond their competitive success, the team exemplifies collaboration, sportsmanship, and mutual support. The strong culture of Murphy Science Olympiad fosters academic excellence, encourages students to reach their full potential, and promotes a genuine enthusiasm for learning.
The team now looks forward to representing Murphy Middle School at the New York State Science Olympiad Competition in Syracuse this April.
