Three Village Earns 2025 AP School Honor Roll Distinction

The Three Village Central School District was recently named a 2025 AP School Honor Roll Silver Level District, a national recognition that highlights strong student performance and expanded access to Advanced Placement (AP) coursework.

The AP School Honor Roll, launched by the College Board in 2023, recognizes districts and schools whose AP programs support college readiness while encouraging broad student participation. Of the 16,068 eligible high schools nationwide, only 5,723 schools, about 36 %, earned a place on the 2025 Honor Roll.

“Earning Silver status on the AP School Honor Roll is a recognition of the collective efforts of our students, teachers, counselors, and administrators,” said Three Village Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kevin Scanlon. “This achievement reflects our commitment to expanding access to rigorous coursework while supporting students as they challenge themselves academically.”

To qualify, schools must demonstrate that a significant portion of their graduating class participates in AP coursework, earns qualifying exam scores that may lead to college credit, and engages in sustained AP learning across multiple grade levels. In 2024-2025, 702 students at Ward Melville High School completed at least one AP Course and 27 courses were offered.
