New at Lyrics & Lyricists Jr.! This season’s production begins with charm-filled performances of songs kids know and love from musicals including Annie, Wicked, Cats, and others, with our wonderful cast highlighting what makes these songs such classics.
The show then becomes interactive, with kids in the audience taking on the role of junior theater critics! They write down (or even draw) and hand in their thoughts about each of the next songs they’ll hear — all new songs by next-generation songwriters, written for new musicals in the making. As if it’s opening night of a brand-new show, the kids capture and share their impressions, as the very first audience to hear the new songs performed.
