Driver Charged Nearly A Year After Crash Killed 85-Year-Old On UES
Paul Mossman, 67, was charged with failing to yield after a crash killed Janus Gorzynski at East 91st Street and Park Avenue, police said.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Nearly a year after an 85-year-old Upper East Sider was killed by a car, a man from Hudson has been arrested and charged, New York City Police Department officials said Monday.
Paul Mossman, 67, recieved charges of failing to yield to a pedestrian, in connection with the death of Janus Gorzynski, NYPD officials said.
Gorzynski was crossing from east to west on East 91 Street at Park Avenue on Dec. 1 around 2:42 p.m., less than a block from where he lived, when a 67-year-old man driving a 2019 Mercedes Sprinter Van hit him, NYPD officials said.

The driver was heading west on East 91st Street and making a left turn onto Park Avenue, police said.
When police arrived, they found the victim in the roadway with head and body trauma. He was rushed to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The driver remained on the scene.
