WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY — It's official: Westhampton Beach will soon have a new supermarket.
On Thursday, Breslin Realty announced the recent signing of a long-term lease with Holiday Farms Supermarket for a 30,000 square foot grocery store at 70 Sunset Avenue in Westhampton Beach, formerly occupied by Lidl.
Justin Breslin, vice president of Breslin Realty, represented Holiday Farms in the lease transaction, and Staller Associates represented the landlord.

The Westhampton Beach store will mark Holiday Farms’ fourth Long Island location, and its first in Suffolk County.
The locally owned and operated supermarket currently has Nassau County locations in Roslyn Heights, Franklin Square, and Glen Head.

"Holiday Farms, a high-quality, family owned supermarket, will be natural fit in the Westhampton Beach community," said Breslin.
Holiday Farms specializes in home delivery and pickup services and offers a broad selection of fresh and prepared foods, representatives said.
Each location features on-site chefs preparing fresh meals daily, along with a bakery, deli, and year-round catering services. The supermarket also carries an extensive selection of specialty, gourmet, and diet-focused products at competitive prices, representatives said.
Earlier in October, after five years, the Lidl supermarket location closed in Westhampton Beach.
According to a statement sent to Patch by a Lidl US spokesperson at the time: "Lidl US has made the decision to close its Westhampton Beach store on October 11, 2026. The store will remain open to customers through that date."
The statement went on: "We appreciate the contributions of our Westhampton Beach employees and are committed to supporting them throughout this transition, including offering each a position at another Lidl US location."
Before Thursday's announcement, speculation had been rampant regarding a new potential supermarket in the space, — with some expressing their hopes for a Trader Joe's on social media, going so far as to post a "fake" newspaper article, with a doctored photo of the space and Trader Joe's sign in the online hoax, according to 27east on Instagram.
"We are actively looking at hundreds of neighborhoods across the country as we hope to open more new neighborhood stores each year," a representative for Trader Joe's told Patch. "At this time, we do not have a location confirmed in Westhampton Beach. "
Some residents were prescient, citing unofficial sources online that a Holiday Farms would be opening. But a Holiday Farms representative told Patch earlier in October that they could "neither confirm nor deny" that rumor.
The news of a new supermarket comes after Citarella opened in Westhampton Beach in April.
And the announcement also comes just days after word broke that King Kullen stores across Long Island had been acquired by Giunta's Meat Farms.
Westhampton Beach shoppers were upset after finding themselves without a supermarket, when Best Way closed its doors in past years — and it was months before Lidl opened at the spot.
