Suffolk County Employee Seriously Injured In Fall After Scaffolding Collapses At Westhampton Impound Lot: PD
He fell about 20 feet to the ground, police say.
WESTHAMPTON, NY — A Suffolk County employee was seriously injured in a fall at the police department impound lot in Westhampton Wednesday morning, authorities said.
According to Suffolk County police, the incident took place at 10:42 a.m. at the lot, located at 100 Old Country Road.
A Suffolk County Department of Public Works employee was standing on scaffolding when the scaffolding collapsed and he fell about 20 feet to the ground, police said.

The 57-year-old employee was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious physical injuries, police said.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact the Seventh Squad at 631- 852-8752.
