Yonkers man charged for repeatedly strangling, assaulting girlfriend (midhudsonnews.com) — A case handled out of White Plains has led to a 12-count indictment of a Yonkers man accused of repeatedly assaulting and strangling his girlfriend and then violating an order of protection. Prosecutors say they sought higher bail to better protect the victim, but a judge kept bail at $1,000 cash, prompting concern from the district attorney.

Westchester Students Gain Physical Therapy Pathway In NYMC-Stepinac Partnership (patch.com) — White Plains students at Archbishop Stepinac High School now have a clearer route into New York Medical College's Doctor of Physical Therapy program through a new preferred-admission partnership. The agreement, signed this month, lets qualified Health Sciences Honor Academy graduates pursue a science major elsewhere, then receive priority consideration for NYMC's D.P.T. program, helping meet growing demand for physical therapists in Westchester communities.

Despite graduating 12 seniors, the Tigers return star scorers, strong defenders, and promising goalies, and they're embracing challenging Section 1 and out-of-state opponents to peak for the postseason.
