Now He's Ghosting Them (theassemblync.com) — Asheboro’s only hospital, Randolph Health, is at the center of a high-stakes fight over broken promises, frozen accounts, and a $12 million public loan county leaders now want largely repaid. Local officials and patients describe absentee ownership, missed commitments, and quality concerns, even as the hospital remains a major employer and critical emergency-care provider for Asheboro and the Zoo area. 
• RCSS Board of Education recognizes student achievements (randolphrecord.com) — Asheboro-area families have plenty to celebrate after the Randolph County Board of Education honored more than 100 local students for state-level Beta Club awards, apprenticeships, and track and field success at its June meeting. The board also accepted a $5,000 athletic grant for Randleman High School and announced its next meeting on June 29.
