Four youths complete Project Imagine orientation in Danville (greensboro.com) — Four Danville youths have completed the orientation phase of the city’s Project Imagine program, a gang‑prevention and life‑skills initiative launched in 2018. With mentorship, strengths assessments, and at least a year of one‑on‑one support ahead, participants work toward better school performance, job readiness, and staying out of the justice system, adding to more than 281 local success stories so far.
   

2. ‘The River's Radiance' mural unveiled in downtown Danville (cardinalnews.org) — A new “River’s Radiance” mural now brightens Memorial Drive as a welcoming gateway into Danville’s River District, funded by the Riverview Rotary Club. City arts staff and residents say the community-painted piece boosts quality of life, supports economic development, and could spark more public art projects around town. 3. Embedded crisis worker to begin with Danville Police next month (cnhi.com) — Danville Police plan to launch an embedded crisis worker in October, connecting residents in distress with local resources while riding alongside officers. At a recent Public Services meeting, the chief also detailed paying off a body‑camera grant, upgrading officer medical and leadership training, and planning for a growing Halloween event that may soon outgrow its current park.
   

4. 21 People With Outstanding Warrants Arrested in Pittsylvania County (wbtmdanville.com) — Law enforcement working in and around Danville helped arrest 21 people with outstanding warrants during a coordinated sweep in Pittsylvania County. The operation, which included the Danville Police Department and several state and federal agencies, targeted charges ranging from probation violations and failure to appear to serious allegations including murder, abduction, and sexual offenses.
