Carson High School student from China Grove has been named a runner-up in the 2026 Cheerwine Festival T-shirt contest, earning recognition and prizes alongside other Carolina students. The Salisbury-based festival on May 16 will feature a full day of live music, kid-friendly activities, food vendors, and regional brand tastings, with the winning “Nectar of the South” shirt already available for preorder.
