• FBI offers $50K in manhunt for alleged killer of Va. sheriff's deputy (upi.com) — Law enforcement has centered a large multi-agency manhunt in Cana for a suspect accused of killing a Carroll County sheriff’s deputy and wounding another. Authorities urge residents near the Virginia–North Carolina line to secure vehicles and outbuildings and immediately call 911 with any sightings, as federal and state agencies continue searching nearby rural areas.
