Well-known man hit by vehicle dies on Monday (hendersondispatch.com) — A 69-year-old Henderson man died Monday after being struck by a vehicle on Andrews Avenue, despite rapid aid from Vance County EMS and the Henderson Fire Department. The 19-year-old driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating as Henderson police and the State Highway Patrol continue investigating, while authorities withhold further details out of respect for those involved.
