• Man faces murder charge after 1 killed, 1 injured in Vance County shooting near Kittrell: Sheriff (cbs17.com) — A deadly shooting at a home on Lynnbank Estates Road, about a mile west of Kittrell, left a 38-year-old man dead and a woman from the Kittrell area injured Thursday morning. Deputies arrested 23-year-old Amari Z. Williams, who lives at the home, and charged him with first-degree murder and assault; investigators are asking anyone with information to contact the Vance County Sheriff’s Office or Henderson-Vance Crime Stoppers.
