• Notice of Intent to Issue an NPDES Wastewater Permit NC0042528 Saxapahaw WWTP (nc.gov) — State regulators are considering renewal of the Saxapahaw wastewater treatment plant’s discharge permit, and residents have until September 8, 2026 to submit written comments. The plant on Saxapahaw-Bethlehem Church Road releases treated domestic wastewater into the Haw River, where some pollutants are already water-quality limited, so local feedback could influence future discharge limits and river protections.
