1. CFD: 18 people displaced after fire at sober living facility in Mt. Auburn (wlwt.com) — A Sunday afternoon fire at a sober living facility on Vine Street in Cincinnati's Mt. Auburn neighborhood displaced 18 residents but caused no injuries, according to the Cincinnati Fire Department. Forty firefighters contained the blaze to the rear of the two-story building, where investigators say an unattended charcoal grill likely sparked about $50,000 in damage, despite working smoke detectors inside.
   

2. Northbound I-75 reopens ahead of schedule, ODOT says (fox19.com) — Northbound I-75 through Cincinnati is back open earlier than expected after beam work for the Linn Street Replacement and Brent Spence Bridge Corridor projects, but southbound lanes remain closed into tonight. Drivers are being detoured via the Norwood Lateral, Brent Spence Bridge, and downtown surface streets while long-term work continues through 2029, including new bike lanes, sidewalks, and a rebuilt Linn Street bridge.
   

3. Memorial softball tournament honors fallen Deputy Henderson ahead of pre-trial hearing (fox19.com) — Hamilton County residents will see the man accused in Deputy Larry Henderson's 2025 killing return to the Cincinnati courthouse Monday for a final pre-trial hearing before his October trial. Over the weekend, a local memorial softball tournament raised money for the Honor the Fallen Project, supporting first responder families, including a longtime sheriff's sergeant with cancer and honoring late Cincinnati firefighter Ryan Zwick.
   

4. City's plan to making parking lots safer raised concerns from donor (cincinnati.com) — Cincinnati leaders are weighing competing ordinances that would tighten security rules for parking lots and garages, aiming to curb gun thefts from cars, which now account for most stolen firearms in the city. Proposals differ on whether surface lots must add cameras or fencing, with Mayor Aftab Pureval pushing stricter requirements and some council members and parking lot owners warning about costs and expanded surveillance.
   

5. Midwest cities among the best for dog walking (fox6now.com) — Cincinnati ranks 40th nationwide for dog walking, with a walkability score of 49.1 and Goldendoodles as the city's most popular dogs. A new Redfin and Rover study compares 107 cities, showing how Queen City dog owners stack up against Midwestern neighbors like Chicago, Cleveland, and Columbus when it comes to strolling their pets around town.
