Lakewood schools' rating slips as student growth earns two stars: Ohio school report cards 2026 (cleveland.com) — Lakewood families can now see exactly how their schools scored on Ohio's latest report cards, with the district earning an overall 3.5 stars and top marks for graduation but only two stars for student progress. 3. Lakewood Alive Fall/Winter Events: Your Fall Rom-Com Starts Here (lakewoodobserver.com) — Your fall and early winter in Lakewood are filling up fast, with LakewoodAlive's Spooky Pooch Parade at Madison Park on October 10, the Chocolate Walk downtown on October 22, and Light Up Lakewood on December 5. These events spotlight local businesses, walkable streets, and community fun, giving Lakewood residents plenty of reasons to get out and enjoy the neighborhood together.
   

5. Ohio bill would require electric companies to reimburse customers for power outage losses (news5cleveland.com) — Lakewood residents frustrated by repeated power outages could soon get automatic bill credits and reimbursement for spoiled food and medicine under a new state bill from local Rep. Tristan Rader. The proposal would force utilities like FirstEnergy to compensate customers after long or frequent outages, while barring companies from passing those costs back onto ratepayers through higher bills.
