Sheetz plans 24-hour store near I-90 in Westlake (cleveland.com) — A new 24-hour Sheetz gas station and convenience store is proposed for 1100 Crocker Road near the I-90 interchange in Westlake, and city officials will begin reviewing its permit Tuesday at City Hall. The project would bring about three dozen jobs, a mobile-order pickup window, and a multimillion-dollar investment, but still needs zoning approvals and a final council vote.

3. Bodycam video reveals scene inside Westlake home where woman was killed (cleveland19.com) — Police bodycam footage from a Canterbury Road home in Westlake shows the bloody scene where officers say a woman later died from her injuries, leading to serious charges against her husband. The video captures his shifting explanations and visible injuries as medics rush her to the hospital. He remains jailed on a $1 million bond, with a court hearing set for Sept. 15.
4. Westlake foundation involved with brain health issues to hold benefit (morningjournal.com) — A Westlake-based brain health nonprofit is celebrating 15 years of dementia-focused programming with a benefit on Oct. 17 at La Centre on Detroit Road in Westlake. The evening will feature dinner, auctions, and a local TV emcee, with proceeds supporting free arts-based programs for people with dementia and their care partners. Tickets are available individually or by table, with reservations due Oct. 9.
