• Westlake Police introduce Grapplers on cruisers (fox8.com) — Westlake police have outfitted several cruisers with new Grappler devices designed to safely stop fleeing vehicles by snagging a rear tire with a net and tether. After consulting Garfield Heights officers and completing eight hours of training, Westlake officers say the tool should shorten or eliminate dangerous chases while better protecting residents, officers and suspects on local roads.
