• YSU professor to present international gang research - (vindy.com) — A Youngstown State University criminal justice professor will present his research on gangs and organized crime to an international audience this October, then bring those insights back to his YSU students. His work focuses on how gang networks operate across borders and institutions, and the experience is expected to strengthen local courses on gang studies, immigration, and policing for Youngstown-area students.
   

• Youngstown man accused of hitting woman's car (vindy.com) — A Youngstown man is accused of using his SUV to strike a woman's car, with her 12-year-old daughter inside, after an argument over illegal parking at an Aldi in nearby Liberty. Liberty police have obtained a felonious assault warrant through Girard Municipal Court, and no injuries were reported at the time of the incident.
   

• Leadership Mahoning Valley welcomes Justin White to Board of Directors (mahoningmatters.com) — A Youngstown State University graduate and McDonald resident, Justin White, has joined the Leadership Mahoning Valley board, bringing experience as CEO of a growing IT firm that serves many local nonprofits. Recognized by the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber and regional awards programs, he's expected to help strengthen leadership development and technology support for organizations across the Youngstown region.
