Grand Blvd. to close Monday through mid-October, along with nightly lane reductions at the I-35/I-44 interchange. Long-term bridge and highway projects on I-44, Lake Hefner Parkway, May Avenue, SH-37, SH-66, and nearby I-40 will keep key routes narrowed or detoured through at least 2026, reshaping daily commutes across the metro.

Oklahoma City shooting damages gentlemen's club, leaves at least 2 injured (koco.com) — An overnight shooting in northwest Oklahoma City left at least two people injured and sent a stray bullet through the door of Secrets Gentlemen's Club, where it lodged in a pool table while staff were inside. Police say two groups exchanged gunfire in a nearby parking lot, and the club's management stresses the violence was unrelated to their business.

Little Light House OKC to trial Bambini Kids exoskeleton through October (okcfox.com) — A Little Light House OKC program in Oklahoma City is testing a Bambini Kids exoskeleton through October to help children with neurological disorders learn to walk. The AI-powered device can support everything from first assisted steps to fine-tuning gait mechanics, adapting to each child's movement patterns as the nonprofit considers whether to purchase it permanently.

Audience-voted Manhattan Short Film Festival is back at OKCMOA (freepressokc.com) — Oklahoma City film lovers can catch the audience-voted Manhattan Short Film Festival at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art now through Saturday, October 3, helping choose a global winner from ten finalists. The program ranges from animated sci-fi and dark comedy to war stories and immigration dramas, giving metro viewers a rare chance to see and vote on diverse international shorts right in downtown Oklahoma City.
   

5. Visitors, vendors reflect on 11 days of fun and spending at Oklahoma State Fair (news9.com) — Oklahoma City's 2026 State Fair has wrapped after 11 busy days of rides, food, and big spending from local families and visitors. Vendors report strong business and multigenerational traditions, while officials will release final attendance and revenue figures next week to see whether this year's crowd tops last year's 800,000 visitors.
