📰 News we're reading
• Oklahoma City public transit ranked last in recent report (kfor.com) — Oklahoma City's public transit system has been ranked last among the 50 largest U.S. cities, with riders citing long waits, breakdowns and lengthy trip times. EMBARK officials counter that recent expansions like night and Sunday service, the OKC Streetcar and RAPID NW, plus MAPS 4-funded upgrades and hundreds of new shelters, are gradually improving service.

• AI system mounted to helmet can help firefighters navigate through smoke (okcfox.com) — Oklahoma City firefighters are helping test a new AI and augmented-reality helmet system that lets crews see through smoke and share live views with commanders, potentially cutting rescue times in half. Demonstrated at the Oklahoma State Capitol, the technology was refined with major input from Oklahoma City Fire Department and is now being deployed nationwide to improve firefighter safety.
