Meet the young teachers and corps members dedicating their time to Tulsa Public Schools this year (tulsaflyer.org) — Tulsa students will see more young adults in their classrooms this year as over 70 City Year AmeriCorps members and 22 Teach For America teachers support Tulsa Public Schools. From Nathan Hale to East Central and Monroe, these corps members are mentoring, filling staffing gaps and trying to boost academic confidence in some of the city's highest‑need schools. 
2. City of Tulsa employee recognized for lifesaving response in March (ktul.com) — A City of Tulsa Water & Sewer crew leader is being praised for performing CPR that helped save a woman's life at Riverchase Apartments back in March. Mayor Monroe Nichols honored James Scott with the City Star Award at City Hall, recognizing his quick action and commitment to stepping in when others hesitated. Scott, new to Tulsa, says he'd do it again without hesitation.
3. Good Samaritans pull two passengers from burning car after Tulsa crash (newson6.com) — Three people are expected to recover after a fiery crash near 41st Street and the Broken Arrow Expressway, where bystanders pulled two passengers from a burning Dodge Challenger before Tulsa police and firefighters freed the trapped driver. The Friday evening collision between a Challenger and a Ford F-350 drew multiple Good Samaritans who broke windows and searched through smoke until first responders arrived. Investigators are still reviewing what led to the wreck.
