The rebuilt K‑5 school replaces a seismically outdated 1927-era building and can now serve up to 750 students, funded by recent Beaverton bond measures. 
• Beaverton family helps spread mulch after donation to Ross Lake Park (michigansthumb.com) — A Beaverton mom and her two kids turned a play visit at Ross Lake Park into an impromptu volunteer project, helping spread mulch donated by a local lung cancer survivor. Their teamwork quickly freshened up the park and left everyone feeling more connected to the neighborhood community.
• Leader of drug trafficking organization that sold fentanyl, cocaine, and meth in 'The Jungle' and International District sentenced to ten years in prison (irs.gov) — Federal agents investigating a major Seattle-area drug ring executed one of 16 search warrants in Beaverton as they dismantled a network moving fentanyl, cocaine, meth, and heroin. The organization's leader has now been sentenced to ten years in prison, with authorities seizing drugs, cash, firearms, and luxury vehicles.
