• Bipartisan bill would fund firefighter, EMS mental health programs (firerescue1.com) — A new bipartisan bill announced at a Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue station near Lake Oswego would fund $7.5 million a year for first responder mental health programs nationwide. Rep. Andrea Salinas' proposal backs suicide prevention, counseling, and family support for firefighters and EMS, amid Oregon's intense wildfire seasons and growing concern over responder stress.
