• Man sentenced for gunpoint robbery of Abington credit union (glensidelocal.com) — A Philadelphia man has been sentenced to more than 15 years in prison for a gunpoint robbery at the American Heritage Credit Union on Old York Road in Abington and a dangerous police chase that ended in a crash with an Abington police vehicle. The case, investigated by Abington Township Police and the FBI, highlights how a straw-purchased handgun and a stolen car were used, with a co-defendant's sentencing still to come.

• These 46 Montco Businesses Targeted In Countywide THC Crackdown: DA (dailyvoice.com) — Montgomery County prosecutors have charged 46 businesses across 26 municipalities, including at least one in Abington, after a crackdown on allegedly illegal THC products sold in smoke shops and convenience stores. Officials say they'll push for conditions requiring removal of unlawful items and better protection of youth from intoxicating products, with preliminary hearings set for November.
