1. Lehigh Valley food safety report: Rodent activity, chicken thawing in sink, duct taped food containers (mcall.com) — Bethlehem diners can see how local spots like Bubbakoos Burritos, Courtyard by Marriott, several Northampton Community College locations, Saucon Valley Country Club facilities, and Speedway on Schoenersville Road fared in recent state food safety inspections. Most Bethlehem establishments passed with no violations, though one Sodexo site was cited for dishwasher hood buildup, which inspectors say must be cleaned.
   

2. Bethlehem sets public hearing date on data center proposed for site off Route 22 (lehighvalleylive.com) — Bethlehem officials have scheduled an Oct. 6 public hearing at Town Hall on a proposed data center at 2184 Industrial Drive, just off Route 22 and 378. Residents will be able to weigh in as City Council considers demolition of the former Crowder Service Center and a new facility that would add major digital infrastructure under the city's older data-center zoning rules.
   

3. Weekend Events in the Delaware Valley: Sept. 26-27 (metrokids.com) — Bethlehem families can head to Lehigh University on Sept. 26 for the free Lehigh Valley Space Fest, a hands-on STEM celebration with astronomy activities and a Star Trek-themed magic show. The regional roundup also highlights a kids' nature day in New Hope and a superhero-themed fundraiser in Newark, offering several weekend options within driving distance.
   

4. 'The future is in your hands': 9th Annual Pa. Latino Convention kicks off in Easton (wfmz.com) — Bethlehem residents are invited to a major statewide Latino convention happening just down the road in Easton, with more than 20 workshops and networking sessions over two days. Organizers highlight fast-growing Latino communities in the Lehigh Valley and focus on developing young leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals from across Pennsylvania.
