Santa And Mrs. Claus Vacationing At Peddler's Village This Weekend

LAHASKA, PA — Santa and Mrs. Claus will be spending a long summer weekend at Peddler’s Village on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the Bucks County village has announced.

According to the village, the world-famous couple will be staying at the Golden Plough Inn and will be spending their time exploring the specialty shops and boutiques in search of holiday gift ideas, dining at village restaurants, and enjoying summer activities that will include a tour of the Safari in Sand display and attending a Friday night Snow Foam Party.

In celebration of its celebrity visitors, Peddler’s Village will be hosting Santa’s Summer Holiday weekend to make Santa and Mrs. Claus feel right at home.

On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, guests will have the opportunity to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus as they travel around Peddler’s Village, stopping in each neighborhood to visit shops to learn about this year’s must-have gifts. They’ll also be dining at village restaurants.

Running in conjunction with the special weekend will be a gift card promotion. Anyone who purchases a $100 Peddler’s Village Dining & Lodging Gift Card will receive a $20 dining voucher.

“Mrs. Claus and I chose Peddler’s Village as our summer holiday spot because it’s one of our favorite places in the world,” said Santa. “We spend a lot of time here in December, but we know it’s a perfect summer destination, too.

“We wanted to see the amazing sand sculptures we’ve heard so much about,” he continued. “And the shops here. My goodness! They’re really special. I’ll find countless gifts to deliver to families all around the globe — and a few goodies for Mrs. Claus and me too.” He winked.

Santa granted the Golden Plough Inn special permission to share his itinerary with Peddler’s Village so that guests can enjoy visits with Santa during his stay. Here it is:

Friday, July 24

• 3:00 p.m.
  Check in at Golden Plough Inn
• 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  Good eats, music and a ‘snow’ foam party with all the good girls and good boys at Village Food Trucks: Christmas in July, located at the Outdoor Event Tent (near the red barn). Santa will be making a grand entrance at 6 p.m. Participating food trucks include Have a Ball, Wrap ‘N Roll,
  Kono Pizza of Bucks County, Meat Wagon BBQ, and G’day Gourmet.

Saturday, July 25

• 8:30 a.m.
  Santa and Mrs. Claus will have breakfast at Buttonwood Grill. Can’t wait for the stack of pancakes. Call 215-794-4040 to make reservations.
• 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  Tour the sculptures of Sights in Sand: An American Road Trip, on display throughout the Village. Grab a map for the scavenger hunt!

Sunday, July 26

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Stroll the Village for some last-minute gift shopping for the elves. End at the VISITOR & EVENT CENTER before departing back to the North Pole.
