The funding is part of a broader Shapiro Administration program supporting financially stressed municipalities statewide.
   

2. NEWS POST: First Day of School (crimewatch.net) — Easton Police and the Easton School District are urging drivers to slow down and watch for children as local schools reopen on September 1. Residents are reminded to be especially careful around crosswalks and to always stop for school buses with flashing signals so students can get to and from school safely.

She's already donated copies locally and hopes to place the book in Easton Public Library and the Lafayette College Store so more Easton-area kids can discover it.

Recent Lafayette alum convicted of criminal mischief, disorderly conduct for throwing coffee at Israeli flag (lafayettestudentnews.com) — A recent Lafayette College graduate was found guilty of summary counts of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct after throwing coffee on an Israeli flag during a spring campus event, in a case heard by a district justice in Easton. The incident, which followed a brief political discussion, led to fines and renewed attention to how the college handles conflicts involving Jewish students.
