Fire Breaks Out At Hotel In Upper Providence

UPPER PROVIDENCE TOWNSHIP, PA — Firefighters responded to a blaze at a hotel in Upper Providence on Tuesday morning, bringing it under control within minutes.

The incident began at 8 a.m. at the Marriot Courtyard on 600 Campus Drive.

Smoke conditions were found on the fifth floor of the hotel when crews arrived.

They were able to trace the fire to an ice machine that had gone up in flames.

The incident was upgraded to a commercial building fire by 8:10 a.m. to marshal more resources.

Very quickly, it was brought under control by 8:21 a.m.

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
