• FINRA fines Vanguard $950,000 over decade of cost basis errors (investmentnews.com) — A Malvern-based Vanguard brokerage unit has been fined $950,000 by FINRA for more than a decade of cost-basis reporting errors that led some investors to pay incorrect taxes. The firm self-reported the problems, is adding controls, and has already paid about $1.9 million to affected customers while continuing its broader push into the advisor market.
