Route 452 Closing For 4 Days In Delco: Here's The Detour

ASTON, PA — Drivers traveling through Aston Township next week should plan for daytime detours as PennDOT crews complete base repair work on Route 452 (Pennell Road).

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Route 452 will be closed between Old Pennell Road and Glendale Boulevard from Monday, Aug. 3, through Thursday, Aug. 6. Here's PennDOT's map of the area.

Closures will last from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. All work is weather-dependent.

During the work, drivers will be detoured to Knowlton Road, Route 352 (New Middletown Road), and Glen Riddle Road.

Expect backups and delays near the construction zone and along the detour route, PennDOT says. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time when passing through the area.

Local access will be maintained at all times, PennDOT says.
