Warns Customers Of Fraudulent Robocalls (patch.com) — Newtown residents are being urged to ignore fraudulent robocalls pretending to be from Newtown Artesian Water Company and demanding payment through an 800 number. The utility says the calls are a scam, has involved law enforcement, and is advising anyone who paid to immediately contact their bank and file reports with federal agencies while using only the company's official phone number for questions.
   

2. College Abruptly Cancels Prescreening Of "Bucks County, USA" Docuseries (patch.com) — Newtown's Bucks County Community College abruptly canceled a sold-out prescreening and discussion of the PBS docuseries "Bucks County, USA," citing unspecified safety concerns for visitors. The event, which was to feature Judy Woodruff and key participants from the Central Bucks-focused series, may be relocated as the filmmakers work to keep Bucks County residents engaged ahead of the Sept. 20 PBS premiere.
   

3. Man Charged With Robbery, Woman Reports Sexual Assault: Newtown Twp. Fostering Hope unveils Words of Worth mural for children in foster care (doylestownobserver.com) — A new Words of Worth mural now brightens Fostering Hope Lower Bucks' Newtown headquarters, welcoming local foster children and families with uplifting messages as they visit the Foster Share Closet. Painted collaboratively by kids, foster families, and volunteers, the artwork is meant to boost dignity and self-worth for the more than 350 Bucks County children in foster care who rely on the Newtown site for essentials.
   

5. Where Bucks County Cheers for the Eagles Without Leaving Home Turf (bucksco.today) — If you'd rather cheer the Eagles close to home, Newtown fans can pack into the Green Parrot on Sycamore Street, where 19 TVs and a lively local crowd create a stadium feel. The guide also highlights other Bucks County bars and restaurants offering game sound, wings, and drink specials as cheaper, communal alternatives to pricey trips to Lincoln Financial Field.
