The story traces how the hospital evolved into the Northampton Medical Center and school district offices, and notes the landmark building is now in the process of being sold again.
   

• UGI gas bills will go up $3.93 a month on average under deal with Pa. regulator (lehighvalleylive.com) — UGI gas customers in Northampton County will see average monthly bills rise about $3.93 after state regulators approved a smaller-than-requested 3.5% rate hike. The settlement also adds stronger protections for low-income households, including easier access to assistance programs and longer payment plans, with another modest increase scheduled for October 2027 and a rate freeze through early 2029.
   

• Carolyn Lynn Morris (swoknews.com) — Family in Northampton is mourning Carolyn Lynn Morris, a 78-year-old mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who passed away in Oklahoma on September 27. Several of her children and grandchildren live in Northampton and are among those cherishing her legacy of cooking, travel, and caring for anyone in need. The obituary highlights her large, close-knit family across Pennsylvania and Oklahoma.
