Seating is the primary focus, with numerous sets and pairs of upholstered bar chairs, bar stools, dining chairs, and molded plastic seating. Styles range from contemporary and industrial to Mid-Century Modern inspired designs. Many examples feature grey or light-colored upholstery paired with black metal frames, while others incorporate curved wood or wood-veneer backrests, tubular frames, sled bases, tapered legs, and integrated footrests.
The auction also includes numerous coordinated bar-height and café table sets. Tables feature wood, white laminate, and faux marble tops paired with black, chrome, brushed metal, or black-and-brass pedestal and frame designs. Several larger industrial-style high-top tables measure approximately six feet long and are accompanied by matching or complementary stools, while smaller round pedestal tables provide options for café, restaurant, and hospitality seating arrangements.
Commercial fixtures include three reception counters or desks, including modular and faux marble designs with storage cabinetry, raised transaction surfaces, decorative trim, and contemporary finishes. These pieces complement the broader selection of contract-style seating and tables.
With 40 lots largely devoted to coordinated commercial seating and tables, the sale provides an opportunity to acquire chairs in multiples rather than individually. Offerings range from four-chair dining and bar sets to pairs of stools, complete café arrangements, high-top table-and-stool combinations, reception furniture, and individual tables.
The catalog is particularly well suited to restaurants, cafés, bars, offices, waiting areas, event spaces, and other commercial interiors, with many chairs offered in matching sets.

The Gender Minorities in the Sciences Panel brings together scientists to share their experiences and strategies for advancing equity and inclusion in STEM across gender-diverse communities.&nbsp;
Women and gender minority scientists have made significant strides in overcoming gender bias in areas such as recruitment, promotions, publications, salaries, and funding over the past decade. Despite their growing involvement in the scientific community, they remain underrepresented and face considerable challenges across various scientific disciplines.
The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University and the Science History Institute are hosting the second Gender Minorities in the Sciences Panel. During this panel, speakers will share their journeys, experiences, challenges, and successes in building meaningful careers in science and technical fields. They will provide insights into how to advocate for oneself while fostering partnerships in male-dominated environments and discuss the unique experiences of scientists at the intersection of diverse identities.
This panel brings people together to raise awareness and advocate for equitable representation and leadership across gender lines in the sciences. It will also serve as an opportunity for networking, community building, and fostering meaningful dialogue about creating an inclusive workplace that emphasizes diversity, equity, access, and leadership for all.
The program starts at 6pm. However, all in-person guests are encouraged to arrive early for a reception beginning at 5pm.

Amish Country Queer is a film about Lancaster's queer nightlife and drag culture, and a story about what it means to be visibly, joyfully, unapologetically queer in a place the world told you wasn't built for you.
Tulle Queer is an ongoing portrait series by trans artist Brady Pappas that honors the queer icons of the 717 region. Using tulle as a recurring visual motif, the project creates a vibrant, community-rooted celebration of visibility and resilience.
The Angel Hour is Lancaster's second-longest-running drag show, celebrating five years of glamour and sisterhood, created by Charlize Angelz.
This is a night of celebration. Of queer bodies, queer lives, and queer autonomy. Of breaking the binaries and changing the narratives we've been handed about where we can live, whom we can love, and who we can be. Queerness has never been confined to city limits, and this night proves it.
And this is where the future gets made. Not at the center, but at the fringes.

What if what you knew about flutes was only part of the story? In the very old days, fluting had heft. These intentional, slow-crafted compositions reconnect to this elemental power. Return to the root through solo woodwind adventures, dark green Zen and forgotten breathing methods.

Featuring original compositions plus the occasional Black Sabbath, Jimi Hendrix or John Coltrane arrangement, this is an intentional presentation of the soul-shifting tone of a rare low-pitched, root-end bamboo flute. At the crossroads of solo recital, porch blues, spiritualist séance and cave ritual, we will shift to an elemental perception and participate in a breath-powered odyssey that is both rustic and virtuosic – earthy and ethereal. It will engage subtle-perception and transmit the range of vital energies that saturate primeval nature.
The <a href="https://www.youtube.com/@CorneliusBoots" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Cornelius Boots YouTube channel</a>&nbsp;has over 500 videos of shakuhachi being performed in venues and various natural settings around the world since 2011, and it gives you a sense of the elemental nature music you will be experiencing up close in one of Philadelphia's historic spaces. In 2026, Boots is celebrating 25 years of studying, practicing, teaching and conjuring a new voice for this ancient instrument. The program will include about 9 selections from his growing catalog (about 57 originals and 12 arrangements) of compositions written specifically for this rare woodwind instrument, contextualized by green man folklore, breathing secrets and tales from his variegated woodwinding life.
About the Artist
Cornelius Boots is an internationally active composer-performer, lifelong woodwind innovator and the inventor of chthonic breathing. He is a licensed grandmaster of Zen shakuhachi, creator of progressive rock, jazz and blues styles and repertoire, and a former bass clarinet pioneer. As Philadelphia’s premiere rustic virtuoso, Boots’ purpose is to transmit the spirit of primeval nature through the rigorous artistry and unique tone of the bass shakuhachi flute, honoring the dual regional lineages of John Coltrane (cosmically creative musicianship) and the Wissahickon hermits (devotional nature spirituality). The founder of Black Earth Shakuhachi School, Boots grew up in Yardley where he started playing the clarinet in 1983. His first professional gig was subbing into the Mummers Parade on alto sax in 1988, then he spent 32 years living elsewhere, and now resides in Wyndmoor. In addition to grants, awards, commissions and many recordings, Boots was a featured performer and lecturer at World Shakuhachi Festivals 2016 (Prague), 2018 (London) and 2025 (Texas), World Bamboo Congress 2018 (Mexico), Clarinetfests 2008, 2011 and 2013 and his Sony E3 2018 Ghost of Tsushima live performance has over 6 million views on YouTube.
A three-time graduate of the renowned Jacobs School of Music (BM Classical Clarinet ’97, BS Audio Recording ’97, MM Jazz Studies ’99), Boots’ training and work experience is deep and diverse: jazz saxophonist, swing clarinetist, symphony bass clarinetist, funk and progressive rock bandleader and founder/composer of the world’s only composing bass clarinet quartet, Cornelius continues to develop Hermit Jazz &amp; Nature Blues: a robust, cross-cultural solo style utilizing rare breath-defying techniques and maximum panstylistic prowess.
In 2013, Boots was given the shakuhachi name "Shinzen" (depth Zen or deep Zen). In 2022, he was awarded a Dai Shihan (grandmaster) certificate in for his contributions and innovations.
