Comcast Business Powers Global Reach for the PONY League World Series

The PONY World Series brings the world to Washington, PA, and Comcast Business brings the games to the world

Founded in 1951, PONY Baseball is marking 75 years as its signature PONY League World Series continues to grow into one of the world’s largest youth baseball tournaments. Each year the tournament draws 10 teams, including international teams ranging from Asia Pacific to Europe, and more than 30,000 fans to Historic Lew Hays PONY Field in Washington, Pa., where Comcast Business provides the connectivity that keeps an increasingly complex operation running.

PONY Baseball was founded to fill a gap in youth baseball, creating a path for players between Little League and high school competitions. Today, the league serves more than 500,000 players aged 3 to 23 across more than 50 countries, and demand continues to grow among families and fans who want to follow the action live, even when they can’t make the trip.

Comcast Business has partnered with the PONY League World Series for more than a decade, supporting the connectivity that has helped turn a local tradition into an event broadcast across the world. As demand has grown, Comcast Business has continued to enhance the ballpark’s network infrastructure, delivering the capacity and reliability needed for high-quality broadcasts, expanded livestreaming, and day-to-day event operations. Last year’s livestream alone drew more than 75,000 viewers, with audiences climbing year over year.

Support from Comcast extends beyond connectivity. In celebration of the 2026 PONY League World Series, Comcast is awarding Ballpark Scholarships, Inc. a $10,000 donation to help provide educational opportunities for local students and support the next generation of leaders in Washington County. The donation is made possible through Project UP, Comcast's $1 billion initiative to connect people to the Internet, provide digital opportunity, and build a future of unlimited possibilities.

“The PONY League World Series is a point of pride for Washington and for youth baseball teams around the world, and it’s something my family has been part of for generations,” said Stephen Rydzak, Director of Operations, PONY League World Series. “Comcast Business understands how much this event means to our extended community and approaches our connectivity with that same level of care and investment, which makes a real difference as we continue to grow.”

Today, Comcast Business powers critical connectivity across the tournament, including:

  • Business Internet, providing WiFi for fans and staff while supporting real-time operations across the ballpark
  • Dedicated Internet, delivering the bandwidth and performance to power live broadcast and global streaming
  • Managed Router solution, helping direct multiple broadcast feeds and content delivery to audiences worldwide

“Comcast Business supports connectivity across the entire tournament, from reliable WiFi that keeps fans and staff connected at the ballpark to the broadcast and livestream capabilities that bring the games to families everywhere,” said Aaron Mimran, Regional Vice President, Comcast Business. “Our network helps ensure every player, family and fan can be part of the experience, whether they’re in the stands or watching from around the world.”

As the PONY League World Series continues to grow, a reliable, scalable network remains central to delivering that experience to players and fans wherever they are.
