Fatal Pittsburgh Bridge Plunge Crash: Latest Info
Two people died on Wednesday in a crash on the Fort Duquesne Bridge. Get the updated information on the incident here.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the two people who died Wednesday after a car plunged off the Fort Duquesne Bridge and onto a North Shore street.
The victims were Michael Smith, 52, of Sheraden and Danielle Jackman, 58, of Churchill.
Smith was pronounced dead at the scene; Jackman was extricated from the vehicle that plummeted off the bridge and taken to the hospital, where she died.

The crash occurred at 3 p.m. and involved five total vehicles. One of them went off the bridge ramp and onto Reedsdale Street below.
Medics evaluated all of the individuals from the other vehicles on scene and all refused transport to the hospital. A total of five vehicles were involved in the crash.

The Pittsburgh Police Collision Investigation Unit will work to determine the factors that led to the crash.
